Here is the final section of my triptych dedicated to the four lovelies who called themselves The Beatles :D

It shows them in 1969. I left out their faces because I chose (for my uni assignment) to look at "celebrity" figures and look into how you can recognise people without facial features.

This is A3 in size and painted in black acrylic with fine liner used to cross hatch.

Part 1:
Part 2:
And all 3 combined:

Thanks Chris! I think they look pretty fed up here. It was the last photoshoot, at Johns' house, that they did as "The Beatles" :( so pretty sad

Yeah I have read about it, you did some great work on this to capture the mood. Although not a massive fan of them they did so much for music and I admire them a lot. I do enjoy their music and often wonder what might have been had they carried on a lot longer.

I'm actually glad they split, 'cos I think they would have torn each other apart if they'd stayed together any longer. Plus Paul then decided to be a jerk and make the split "official" by suing the other three >:( I have no doubt they would have got back together after the split but December 8th 1980 had to happen and ruin everything...

I'm glad you admire them, I think alot of people dismiss them as just a "pop" band, having only listened to their early stuff but they changed the face of music forever and I think that deserves at least a little respect.

WOW I can friggin' ramble can't I??? Haha sorry for wasting these precious seconds of your life having to read this bull :D

Hey no need to apologise, a ramble and babble is often good for you. :) (Trust me when it gets on the subject of volcanoes i can ramble for ages)

Yes i know what you mean re 8th Dec 1980, John was a fantastic singer and songwriter, his song Imagine is one of the most powerful songs ive heard.

Volcanoes are awesome! So cool! You were around for Mt ST Helens weren't you? I bet you loved that :D (if you were interested in them back then that is!) I watched the show Seconds From Disaster on the eruption and it was so unbelievable how powerful it was!

Yes I miss John very much, maybe his message of peace wouldn't be so highly regarded today if he was still with us, but then again I'm sure he would have carried on his work and spread even more great messages. Imagine makes me cry, especially watching the video :( but it is a brilliant song everyone should hear it at least once.

Oh yes I remember some of the eruption, saw the news and the blast and I would say it triggered my interest. I am going to do a degree in Geology and Volcanoes so I can move into that field. My sister prompted me to go for it as she knows I am crazy. My dream is to go to Etna later this year and see the volcano erupt.

Totally agree with you on Imagine, my mum loved that song big time. It's on my iPod playlistings all the time, (along with a dozen bands no one has ever heard of ..lol)

That's great about the degree! I've been thinking about doing a biology or palaeontology degree, but I don't think I could do it 'cos I'm pretty stupid :P

My boyfriend has been to Etna, he stole me a piece of the igneous rock there :D

Thank you! I love your comments you make me happy :P

Yesh I the texture is from the paper I painted them on, it's quite thick watercolour paper so gives a great texture when painting/drawing :D
